• As the voice for health plans in Kentucky, the Association seeks to increase public awareness about plans' services, efficiency, operations and health care delivery benefits. The Association facilitates communication among members and with the health care industry on issues of common concern, and maintains contact with health care associations in other states and nationally.

• The Association supports the efforts of other associations, organizations, businesses and individuals to contain health care costs by promoting wellness and prescribing effective and appropriate use of health care resources.

Our Mission
 

• The mission of the Association is to promote the development and operation of comprehensive health plans in the state that deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.
  
   
• The Association engages in advocacy programs at the state level concerning issues affecting health plans. It fosters development of high standards of operation, and provides information and education to assist members in meeting and maintaining those standards.
